Build for the run you’re in
Defeat enemies, collect experience and choose upgrades as you level. Your build has up to seven spell slots and five passive slots. Masteries available at level 40 share the passive slots. Spell ranks, discoveries and replacements let you refine the build instead of following a fixed script.
Spend run gold at caches to choose temporary equipment: two rings, two trinkets and one amulet. Each has its own supported effect and ranks. Run levels, spell choices, passives, run gold and cache jewelry reset when you start a new run.
Read the actual effect in the game. Warforge Veterans adapts familiar items and abilities to its own rules; original World of Warcraft stats and another fan game’s descriptions are not a substitute.
Equipment you keep
Saved characters have nine permanent equipment slots. Eligible boss drops begin your starter collection, while world drops, shared victory rewards, sets and legendaries offer longer goals. Starter and world-drop awards save during the run, so a later defeat does not erase an already saved piece.
A world drop’s power comes from the difficulty that earned it. A blue piece has base item level 17 on Normal, 18–21 on Heroic I–IV and 22 on Mythic, and a Keystone drop 24 + 1.2 per level after the first (Keystone 1: 24, Keystone 10: 35, Keystone 30: 59). The base is the item level at slot rank 1; each slot upgrade multiplies it, up to rank 5. Greens are a little weaker and epics a little stronger than a blue from the same source. Pieces you owned before this ladder keep their exact stats and show no source.
The Armory shows equipped pieces, your bag, each piece’s source, base item level and slot rank, set progress and comparisons. Choose a slot to inspect alternatives, equip an upgrade or find its sources. Upgrades show the actual item level and capped stat gains they buy. Spend embers on upgrades and salvage pieces you no longer want. Item suffixes, spell lines and procs matter alongside the headline stats, and every loadout shares the same caps, so a higher item level is not automatically better for every build.
Different rolls of the same item are kept as separate pieces, so a better source never silently replaces a suffix or proc you rely on; only an exact duplicate roll salvages. Party rewards use Need, Greed and Pass. Need is for a class-eligible upgrade; the server checks eligibility. Some duplicate or unusable outcomes salvage into embers. The live Drop Tables view explains difficulty gates and current chances.
Make the class yours
Every class has three trees with seven tiers. Train up to 51 points across your class’s trees. Every five points in a tree opens its next tier; deeper nodes can also require an earlier talent. A defining capstone is available with your 31st point in that tree when its prerequisites are met.
Ranks cost sigils. Prices come from the realm and are displayed before training. The talent panel compares your current and next rank, explains prerequisites and shows the remaining point budget. Resetting refunds the recorded trained sigil costs so you can try another allocation. Talent changes apply to your next run.
Know what each currency does
| Currency | Use | Persists? |
|---|---|---|
| Run gold | Temporary cache equipment during this run | No |
| Embers | Permanent equipment upgrades | Yes |
| Sigils | Class talent ranks | Yes |
| Relics | Higher-rank permanent equipment upgrades | Yes |
| Keystone Runes | Reroll an equipment suffix | Yes |
| Titan Residuum | Slot-targeted Keystone Vendor equipment | Yes |
Hard-mode contracts and eligible victories award permanent materials. Keystone victories add their own currencies. Requirements, amounts, prices and equipment chances are realm settings; your Armory and the difficulty chooser show the current values. Guest and offline practice do not award permanent progression.
A journey across your account
Victories and exploration open zone families, relic modifiers and titles across your account. The zone chooser tells you why a destination is locked and what opens it. Party members can accompany the leader to destinations the leader can access.
Exploration relics unlock modifiers such as Hurry, Hyper, Bone Zone, Boss Rush and Inverse. These relic unlocks are distinct from the relic currency used for equipment upgrades. Modifiers change a run’s conditions; read the selection screen before starting.
Mythic is another beginning
A Mythic victory unlocks Keystone 1 for that character. Winning a Keystone level opens the next one, within the realm’s limit. Higher levels raise the challenge and drop stronger Keystone equipment. Runes fund suffix rerolls. Every hero can browse the Keystone Vendor; buying with Titan Residuum needs a completed Keystone 1, and each purchase rolls at the highest Keystone you have actually won, not the next one unlocked.
Finite runs also have the Lich King chase: complete the ladder before he arrives, or face him. A qualifying kill earns Kingslayer recognition and a shared legendary reward. Endless runs offer a repeating, strengthening ladder with their own reward rules and no Lich King chase.
Use My Runs and the combat report to compare builds. The death recap identifies recorded killing blows and the damage leading up to them, so your next attempt can start with a concrete adjustment.
